Saturday delivery incurs an addtional cost of $6.50.

If your order is placed before 2pm (excluding weekends + public holidays) we will send that same day. Please check the information below to see how long your gift will take to arrive once dispatched.
Standard delivery timeframes:
North Island – if order is placed BEFORE 2pm (does not apply to weekends or public holidays) it is likely that it will reach its North Island destination overnight. This excludes Rural Delivery items.
SATURDAY DELIVERY: For an additional charge, we are able to offer Saturday delivery to North Island urban areas only. Please double check the Courier post website HERE to ensure a Saturday delivery service is offered in the area you are shipping to. *We are trialling this service to see how it goes - sending a package with Saturday delivery is at your own risk.
South Island – generally delivered in 2 working days. We do not currently offer Saturday delivery to the South Island.
Rural – please allow an additional 1-2 working days longer depending on Rural Courier Schedule. Please note it is often earlier. Saturday delivery is not available for Rural deliveries.
There is no guarantee of exact time of arrival - it does depend on when the courier driver does their run to that particular area.
PO Boxes – We are able to send orders to PO Boxes.
WE ARE UNABLE TO OFFER SAME DAY DELIVERY OUTSIDE OF THE SOUTH WAIKATO.
Please note that at times deliveries can be delayed due to circumstances beyond our control (such as: natural disasters, road closures, bad weather, inter-island sailings being cancelled and the like). Please be assured that The Pressie Box will do our very best to have your gift delivered when requested, but cannot guarantee this 100% due to delays that may occur within the courier network.
We track each order until delivery is confirmed, we will also send you a tracking number once your order is complete. The exception to this is ‘some’ rural deliveries as the drivers do not always carry electronic scanners.
All gifts are now sent ‘signature not required’ + left by the courier at the delivery address in a safe place should your recipient not be home. We have found this avoids unnecessary delays with delivery of your gift and saves the recipient from chasing packages at depots/agents if they are not home at the time of delivery.
PLEASE let us know when checking out if you would prefer ‘signature required’.
Please note – our couriers will attempt to deliver the gift basket to the address you specify and will leave in a safe place if recipient is not home at the time of delivery. However, if they do not feel it is suitable to leave, or if there is no way to gain access, the courier will leave a card to call for the recipient to arrange re-delivery at a convenient time or alternate address, or pick up from the agent/depot. (Note that signature required is not available on some addresses such as Rural Delivery).
We find that if you have an alternate daytime address, such as a work address that delivery is a quicker and smoother process.
While we do our absolute best to ensure timely delivery of your gift, there are some situations that are out of our control, these are:
- You supply the incorrect address
- No access to the property and no-one to collect it.
- Nobody responds to the courier to sign for the gift and nowhere safe to leave it or signature required.
- Recipients have moved or gone away on holiday.
- The item is not collected, or re-delivery arranged once a card has been left.
We suggest you use the NZ POST address & postcode finder to double check your delivery details.
We send your order using courier companies who we have learned we can trust to give the best service and most reliable on-time delivery. We currently use Courier Post.
We take great care in packaging our items. All orders are placed in a strong outer carton. Unfortunately we can never tell you when exactly a gift will be delivered – this completely depends on when the driver does their run in that area.
Weekend/Public Holiday Orders
We are happy to deliver on a weekend in the Tokoroa area, however all other orders received over the weekend will be processed Monday morning. For Public Holidays, the order will be processed on the next business day.
Please provide ward number and correct name (female patients may have checked in under their married name or maiden name). Please check with the hospital first, as often the patient is discharged from hospital by the time your gift arrives. It is advisable to send your gift to the recipient’s home instead, if you are unsure.
In our experience, there are far less delays in delivery when sending to a patients home or work address. We understand how lovely it is to receive a gift whilst in Hospital, however it is not uncommon for patients to be discharged ahead of schedule.

Couriers sometimes experience difficulties in deliveries to apartments because (1) there is no safe place to leave gifts behind when no one is home; (2) some apartments are security coded and access to these apartments is difficult. Please ensure that someone will be home to receive the gift sent, or consider sending your gift to a work address.
We will only charge you the minimum cost it takes to get your order there. Extra delivery charges may apply for bulk orders. Please contact us for more information.
