We deliver our range of gifts, hampers and baskets to ALL hospitals throughout New Zealand. We've had lengthy stays in Waikato Hospital with one of our children, and from that personal experience, we can vouch just how lovely it is to have decent coffee on hand, along with some nourishing snacks and chocolate at the ready for that middle of the night treat.
Gift hamper delivery to hospitals can be notoriously tricky, so we've put together a few tips for you to keep in mind.
- Where at all possible, include as much information about where in the hospital your recipient is. This includes: First & Last name, name of hospital, ward and room number.
- It is common for your recipient to be discharged ahead of the scheduled time. For this reason, it can be easier to send to a friend or family member to pass on, OR send directly to the patients home address. This is particularly important when sending baby gifts, hampers and baskets.
- Gift hampers & baskets sent to hospitals are either delivered initially to the main reception of the hospital or to the inwards goods area. This means that 'sometimes' it can take a few hours to reach the intended recipient on the ward. Please keep this in mind when sending direct to the hospital.
- The Team here at The Pressie Box are more than happy to re-direct your gift, hamper or basket should it arrive and the patient is unexpectedly discharged. It does however take up to a couple of days to reach it's new destination.
